Scotland (David Murdoch of Lockerbie) defeats Canada (Jean-Michel Ménard of Quebec City) to win the 2006 Men’s World Curling Championships in Lowell, Massachusetts. It is the fourth title for Scotland since the event began in 1959 and the first since 1999, when Scotland skip Hammy Mcillian won the world title in Saint John, New Brunswick.
